Okay, I'm just really REALLY bad about updating this site. I had great intentions in May 2008 for the Walleye opener, but never took my camera out of the bag. Then we took the annual father / sons trip in August, and I was off to a good start with photos before I dropped the camera in the lake!
Fortunately, one of our new Canadian friends took lots of photos in May, and was kind enough to send them to me. You'll find them posted on here. Thanks, Sarah!!

It all started in the Summer of 1996, when the guys discussed getting away from it all, and heading to Canada in the fall. Actually, Bones, Rob and Dave had gone a couple of times before, several years ago. But this time, it was determined, would be for some serious fishing! Plans were made, provisions were purchased, and at the end of August the journey began. It was a GREAT time! The fishing was quite good, the weather was nice, and the BEER WAS COLD!!!
In the fall of '97, Brian Leutz joined the guys. It was the second straight year at Island View Camp - and would prove to be the last! It seems as though the level of "enthusiasm" was much higher this year, leading to several death-defying adventures. Nearly drowning - exploring abandoned gold mines - all in all, a much higher level of danger and excitement! However, once again, the fishing was pretty good, and so was the weather.

Year #3 was a
bit of a struggle. First of all, I got sick the day we arrived.
Secondly, the weather sucked. And third, so did the FISHING! We
were left to drink mass quantities of BLUE, and play a lot of
Euchre! Still, we managed to have some interesting adventures...
Like Fireman Dave catching a gas can on fire - Me and Bones
detroying a boat motor - Me freaking out over a leach - and
several other things fortunately NOT caught on tape! Still, I can't wait for the 1999 Adventure to
